On May 13 the “World of Equal Opportunity” PF held a para taekwondo open training, Kazakhstan Taekwondo Federation press service reports.
A young para taekwondo athlete Evelina Faskhutdinova was also awarded with a black belt as part of the open training.
KTF vice presidents Kanat Sagynayev and Arman Chilmanov took part in the black belt graduation ceremony.
Despite cerebral palsy and a hearing impairment, 15-year-old Evelina has been engaged in the adaptive taekwondo section of the Poomsae discipline since 2017. The athlete repeatedly participated in the local para taekwondo championships, as well as in the Paralympics for Kids.
PF “The World of Equal Opportunities” implements a social project “Salamatty bolashak” in which , with the support of partners and sponsors, a network of free inclusive and adaptive sports sections for children with disabilities was opened.
To date, the project has been implemented in 21 cities of Kazakhstan: Astana, Aralsk, Almaty, Karaganda, Aksu, Atyrau, Aktobe, Aktau, Zhanaozen, Zhanaarka, Abay, Pavlodar, Taldykorgan, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Shymkent, Taraz, Karatau and Kulan, Semey, Urjar and Kostanay.
