State symbols are essential attributes of independence and sovereignty. They represent the country's identity, history, and unity of the people.
In the Republic of Kazakhstan, the state symbols include the National Flag, the State Emblem, and the National Anthem. The Constitutional Law "On State Symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan" was adopted on June 4, 2007, and this date is celebrated annually as the Day of State Symbols.

The National Flag of Kazakhstan is a rectangular sky-blue cloth. In the center, there is a golden sun with rays, beneath which a soaring steppe eagle is depicted. Along the flagstaff, there is a vertical strip with a national ornamental pattern.
The flag symbolizes peace, unity, freedom, and aspirations for development. The author of the flag is Shaken Niyazbekov.

The State Emblem has a circular shape. Its central element is the shanyrak, symbolizing a common home and unity. From it, uyks radiate like sun rays. On both sides, there are winged mythical horses, with a star at the top and the inscription "QAZAQSTAN" at the bottom.
The emblem reflects unity, stability, and progress.
The National Anthem is the country's main musical symbol, expressing patriotism and national pride.
The current anthem was adopted in 2006 based on the popular song "Menin Kazakstanym". The music was composed by Shamshi Kaldayakov, and the lyrics were written by Zhumeken Nazhimedenov and Nursultan Nazarbayev.
